2018 YTD investment performance thread

Down 5.3% overall. This is mainly related to the fact that I had significant gains in NVDA, AAPL and FB and those have been crushed over the last 2 months.

EDIT1: +5.4%ytd (for the third time this year apparently) Probably a bit more after my one VIMAX index updates at 8pm. ON a side note, I just realized my timezone is still set to Pacific on the server lol.

1/4/2018 1.40%
2/1/2018 5%
3/1/2018 1.95%
4/1/2018 0.36%
5/1/2018 0.28%
6/1/2018 5.50%
7/1/2018 7%
8/1/2018 9.35%
9/1/2018 16.08%
10/1/2018 15.43%

I’m actually up! One whole tenth of a point.

I’ll wait for year end to see how it compares to my hopes/dreams/projections from 2014 since I only stored the year end numbers. Right now I’m going to make another turkey sandwich.

My usual month-end (real month end, as in, after the market closes on the last day of the month), all-in, money-chip style spend adjustment: -0.2%

I'd love to say I was above water for the year, but pretty much even.

To keep things in perspective, I'm 36% higher since retiring! That value will also will go negative some day. Let's hope that doesn't happen anytime soon!

sengsational >> That 36% is impressive to me. How long you been in retirement?

I'm at 20% higher then what I started with. My numbers aren't all in yet for the day to see what my YTD % is.

Am at -0.2% due to most of my mutual funds under performing. I need to remind myself that today's losers will be tomorrow's winners.

FIDO says 401k is up YTD 7.82% sans contributions. On track for FIRE in 2020 at 59 years for DW and myself.

Pension cash balance clicking along in autopilot.

50% stocks and 50% money market since June after being practically 100% equity for 32 years - the days of swinging for the fences are behind me. DCA in monthly contributions to international now because of low costs.

No bond funds while Fed is raising rates. No CDs because my plan does not offer them.

:facepalm:Our PRR is +.18%. Normally our cash is a drag on our overall performance. This month, it pulls our overall performance into the black from red.

YTD up about 3%. Much better (percentage wise, anyways) than last month which was right at 0%.

Up one %. Most of portfolio is in beloved stable value funds.

Have only 22% in SVF. Didn't realize how good this option was in the 401k and now can't put anything more into it. Won't touch it until RMD time in 12 years.

Down about 1.5% YTD. I have about 8% in SCV, 5% in EM. Roughly 20% Total International too through Target Date funds. The Factor tilt and International are obviously a drag.

Thought I'd better hurry and post before I go negative - up 0.90% , 60/40.

I'm kinda glad that we are sitting on a large amount of cash today. Not looking at my brokerage accounts, though...that would probably be depressing.
