Breathing life into an old "Hi, I am"

I just came back here after a few years away (because someone wrote and asked a question) and I thought it might be valuable to make an update to my old thread... but upon trying I got this:

"This Thread is more than 1279 days old, you can't reply to it."

Is it truly not possible to make updates to an old "Hi, I am" thread??

also... sorry in advance if this question isn't posted in the right place... feel free to move it and/or tell me where to repost (*runs/ducks for cover)

Nice to see you back! You can still post in that thread. When you hit “reply”, at the bottom is a dialog box. You need to check where it says “I am aware …” and your post will go ahead.
