Dishwasher not filling

Our Whirlpool dishwasher is not quite 4 years old. It appears water is not filling in. I can't see anything obviously wrong. Any ideas before I call repairman?

These folks have helped me immensely over the years with my personal and rental appliances.

Your problem could range from a bad solenoid valve or a bad circuit board telling the solenoid to stay closed, or a wire off.

Thanks, but never mind. Likely cause is a part that I no longer have the gumption to replace myself. I have a repairman coming.

For me, it was the supply hose.
It was a safety supply hose, which is supposed to auto shut off the water if a break occured.
Somehow it got mixed up. I forget the sequence, but it involved.
I had to shut off the water, then run the dishwasher for a minute, then turn on the water, then turn on the dishwasher again.

During one of those actions, the thing reset.

This is a reminder I need to replace that with a non-safety one.
