Facial hair is too much work. I also use a zero on my head. I save on shampoo, keep cool, and don't look like hell when I wake up. It's especially useful when I backpack-my favorite activity.

In the spirit of the dropped gauntlet, I'll go first...my legs are shaved in this pic.

UPDATE...well, it's been 6 HOURS and not a handsome devil to be seen except that AARP zombie. So the legs go back undercover. Bronx cheer.

Still no handsome devil...

Eeek, HFWR--that is a CLOSEUP!
Here's DH's beard he grew for climbing Mt. Whitney earlier this year.

I asked my husband to please grow a beard when we started traveling a bunch (after retiring) and he decided shaving was optional during trips. I was tired of the homeless person look.

The new beard look turned out to suit him well. And he fits right in with the wildlife photographer/naturalist crowd. They have a certain "look" you know.

It did age him though - as his beard had quite a bit of white and gray, and now is more white than gray. Freshly shaved he looks very young.
