Is a dilute bleach solution a satisfactory hand cleaner for COVID?

The above recipe is supposed to be watery enough to be used in a spray bottle and not used as a pour out gel sanitizer, the aloe is only to stop skin from cracking not to create a gel.

That makes a lot more sense! I wonder why nobody mentions that in any of the articles.

Yup. There is no alcohol, no AV gel, no sanitizer. There is plenty of soap and water. My hands are dry and chapped for the first time in my life.

Before hand sanitizer, my hands were always dry and chapped (pediatrician, washed hands 30-50x/day). Much more effective than lotion is cream or ointment-Cera Vie, Aquaphor, Eucerin, Vaseline, etc. you can even use olive oil. Lotions contain a variety of alcohols, which also sting, and aren’t as effective. My favorite is Eucerin. It goes on a little greasy but soaks in and lasts. Another tip: watch out that you don’t wash the knuckle area more than necessary. Concentrate on the fingertips and palm when washing-they are far more likely to spread virus.
