After a week in Ireland with DD and SIL and a few days after with them in England I am delighted to see that there has been no weight increase. Given all the eating and beer drinking over this period I don't understand it but I'm not complaining.

Back to the gym this morning. The weather is lovely and we went on a long hike yesterday, but it has been a couple of weeks since we did any upper body exercise.

228. I am having trouble getting into ketosis. Not sure why, I usually get into it pretty fast. It has been raining non stop so I've been unable to walk so hopefully once I start walking I can make some progress.

Here is what is frustrating. This seems to happen all the time. 2 or 3 days before last week's WW weigh in I was at 178.2....but on weigh in day I was at 178.8. The day before weighing in I watched my points and ate the minimum, and avoided high sodium food.

So this week on Monday morning I was at 177.2 (I currently weigh in on WW on Thursday). I ate fine on Monday and Tuesday. This morning, 178.6! Weigh in tomorrow. Sigh...I wish I had gone and weighed in on Monday....

Congratulations Freebird & tell Mr. B to pass the chips . I am a day late to weighing in & almost skipped it but fear of gaining the weight back stopped me . I am holding steady at a 23 pound loss . The amusing thing is my two maxi sundresses are now too long . I'm not sure how that happens .:)

I usually gain 5 lbs over the winter because my cold weather exercise options are limited to shoveling snow and...>:D...never mind. ;)
I think the biggest contributor to my weight loss is using my new self propel mower. Yes, the mower does the forward driving, but I am walking behind it at a pretty good clip. My front yard measures 90' by 100', so I am walking all of that, plus the upper body exercise involved in turning the corners, etc etc. I certainly sweated a lot. :LOL:
I wish I could go to the gym, but I still have some permanent issues from RSI that make any form of repetitive exercise a very painful experience. In fact, I have a ThermaCare heat pad on my middle back tonight.
I am better off doing a variety of outdoor exercise activities (yardw*rk and planting my containers) in many sets of small doses over a longer period of time. This way I have recovery time (stopping) to avoid more repetitive strain injury (RSI).
I cannot ask Mr B to help right now because he is on "no strenuous activities or lifting" orders from the cardiologist due to his recent heart attack and catheterization. One more week to go and he will start helping out. :dance:

NO CHIPS...he was very good and ate an apple tonight.
 
May was a very good month, so I must be doing something right. :dance:

Well, I won't be weighing in for 2 weeks - we leave for our Alaska cruise and land tour tomorrow morning! I'll moderate my diet, but I definitely plan to enjoy some of that yummy cruise food. I expect to gain several pounds...hopefully not too many. So excited about our trip - woo-hoo!!! :dance:

I'm more interested in the stomach measurement than the weight side. I'm also adding a fair amount of muscle mass to my chest and biceps (which is good because, after the first few weeks of building the garden, my forearms had gotten really freaky huge compared to the rest of me)

I gained a pound this week and I am not surprised . We went to a party Sunday and out to eat Monday so I am now back on track.
 
My daughter made me home made chocolate chip cookies (my favorite) for my birthday so don't be surprised if next week is a bust for me!

-1.8 lbs this week. Based on that I know what I weigh but my scales just told me -1.8 lbs.

My new scales tell me how much I've gained or lost since the last weigh in rather than my total weight.

I want to lose 30 pounds total so instead of stepping on the scales and seeing the big number of what I weigh now and fretting about how long it will take to get to 30 pounds it shows the little number of what I've lost (or gained) which for me is very motivational.
