Thinks s/he gets paid by the post
We moved last month last 63 and 60 yo, not out of state but to a new county and area 150 miles away. We did our own packing of a 3 bedroom house, and let movers load the truck and deliver. It was still a beast of a job, and I am not counting closing utilities, starting new utilities, etc.
Had no idea I had to go to the Post Office to fill out a form that I lived at my new address before they would deliver mail. Learning about the septic, propane instead of natural gas, and what do you mean that rotting utility pole is mine, and it costs $2500 to replace!?
But I am learning a bunch of stuff and loving the new place. Goodbye city life! LOL. Already told our real estate agent I hope to stick around here until they carry me out.
