Funny memory, have not thought about in years until I heard Running Scared by Roy Orbison, 1961. Group of us found a [-]sleazy, cheap dive [/-] gentleman's club that would serve underage. That song came on the jukebox prompting a discussion as to the last word of said song. What followed was I watched two of my best friends have a cowboy movie saloon fight over what that word was. He or me was the word.
Now see, if you'da had Google in 1961, they could have just kept peaceably drinking:
(Roy Orbison and Joe Melson)
Just runnin' scared each place we go
So afraid that he might show
Yeah, runnin' scared, what would I do
If he came back and wanted you
Just runnin' scared, feelin' low
Runnin' scared, you love him so
Just runnin' scared, afraid to lose
If he came back which one would you choose
Then all at once he was standing there
So sure of himself, his head in the air
My heart was breaking, which one would it be
You turned around and walked away with me.
