Streaming Music - What do you use?

I haven't tried out Spotify or the others, but I have a question (and would appreciate any comments!)

With these services, you don't own a copy of the song, as I understand it - but once you compile your personal playlist - do you lose that list (and all that effort!) once you unsubscribe? thanks

If you stop your paid subscription, your user account stays intact but you get ads and lose offline/downloaded music ability.

If you leave Spotify altogether, you'd lose playlists. There are third-party apps that can export your Spotify playlists to JSON or other similar files if you have some technical ability. I imagine you'd still have to rebuild the lists in whatever you switched to, but at least you'd have documentation of them.
