Christmas cards with a pre-printed signature and no personal message whatsoever. Why bother?
Yeah or that they used the work postage machine to save on the stamps.

+1All the so called free speech advocates who are offended by everything not matching their point of view.
Received another calendar in the mail today. Between realtors we haven't seen in years and various charities we've contributed to or participated in events with, we've received eight calendars for 2015. They all go to waste because we use our phone and computer calendars.

I don't think it's against "the rules" to make noise on a short flight, and they have relaxed the general rules about electronic devices. It was a young happy couple sharing music. I was tempted to pull out my phone and start playing some energetic classical music but I figured 3 jerks were worse than 2. It was a tiny plane, 3 per row total so it wasn't in my best interest to externalize my conflict.
The second leg of the flight featured a one year old with the scream of a Ringwraith; I really felt sorry for the parents, but then was frustrated because they did nothing at all to try to calm the child, didn't even check the diaper.

My dog died in August and I really miss her! I miss my walking buddy and all around good friend. We are holding off on any new pets as we approach cutting loose and anticipating a year or two on the road. Great husband and lots of great peeps but there is nothing like a dog to make you feel like the most important and exciting and wonderful thing to have happened all day. Dogs like kids help us see through shear bliss glasses. I'm trying to develop my own bliss glasses but she was such a great reminder to live in the moment! I miss her so much. That is my pet peeve for today and the last several months.
A movie theater chain in Texas will kick people out for texting or being on their phones during a movie. They run a PSA about it that's pretty good...although the language is pretty strong.
Sent from my mobile device so please excuse grammatical errors.
My pet peeve is stores with only a single stall bathroom. When the ADA laws first were passed, they converted many two-holers into a single large stall. I can see that as a practical necessity. But newer construction mens' bathrooms all seem to have a single stall. It's not a big deal until you need one and some homeless guy is camping in one, the single toilet is plugged and overflowing or simply occupied by long timer.
Another day, another pet peeve.
Waiting for repairmen to show up. Most places will say AM or PM, but beyond that, forget any communication. In the past, before cell phones, this was somewhat excusable, but now it would be easy for a guy to call and say I'm running early, or late or not coming at all - but it doesn't seem to be any better.
And so I sits and waits..........

We have been getting smoke now for several days on the coast. Luckily for us, it is south of us over the city and Fraser River. Funny how we love the smell of wood smoke when it is controlled. I understand Lake Country is now totally under control?
This feels like Alberta last year!
People who feel a need to Skype in a public place, without headphones. I am sitting in a delta sky club, and have had to move three times due to these conversations. It's a crowded lounge, but somehow it is their own personal bubble. I know you want to say goodnight to your son, but I don't need to hear both sides of it. Or the lady watching a movie on her iPad - again with no headphones.
Clearly I am frustrated with my long airport delay.
I got a few PM's from the grammar police. Some were people trying to be helpful so my posts were more clearer to readers. Those I appreciated, others wanted to dazzle me with their superior intellect, and were rude, and insulting. I saved them to remind me , who these condescending guys were. Maybe someday I will repost them so they can feel like the heel that they are.
Well they must have heard you. I had to beg to get a wall calendar this year. I went to a late Mass at Christmas and they were all gone.
On the iPhone - the indicator that the phone is actually charging is the tiniest of tiny lightning bolts that they could have possibly used way up in the right hand corner.
Why can't there be a more obvious sign that the phone is actually receiving a charge
Our landline carrier intercepts the text and phones us to dictate their translation. It is one of those good news/bad news features. They text to my landline they are coming. My landline doesnt get texts.
It must be ignorance because those people would all have earphones for their flight. Maybe Delta needs to hand them out earlier?People who feel a need to Skype in a public place, without headphones. The frustrating thing with the evacuation is that their return date is unknown. Lots of help from as far as Australia, including 2 water bombers.I didn't realize the smoke had reached Vancouver. Lake Country (Okanagan Centre fire) is 75% contained, 50 hectares.
The fires in Ashcroft and 100 Mile are huge and much destruction has occurred, but Fort McMurray 2016 was on an even larger scale (90,000 evacuations). They are helping, because they know what it's like.
We replaced our Bosch clothes washer with a Samsung. Works a lot better. The small, awkward hole where you pour the Rinse Aid in on the dishwasher door. It inevitably flows out and over the door, wasting a lot.
I have a Bosch so maybe it is just German engineering at its worst.
