This may sound morbid, but since this a retirement board, I guess it is appropriate hahaha

Looking for a good female rendition of Amazing Grace. Why? I want it played at my funeral...but I havent found the version I like...I've heard it maybe 2 or 3 times performed by a woman and it blew me away

Any suggestions?

Thanks Ha, but I can´t listen to it. Desactivated.
Click on the green YouTube bar. :)

Mmmm....fed, I don't think you'll hear it at your funeral, but who knows?

As for me, sing to me and give me flowers now while I can enjoy them.

When I draw my last breath, just lime me and throw me under the porch. ;)

man i still can find it. it 'sounded' like a black woman with some serious soul, although i am uncertain (nor does it matter- but might help someone find it!)...and it was a capella

I always liked the J. C. version WITH the choir -

YouTube - AMAZING GRACE by Judy Collins

Never much cared for this song when sung from a traditional hymn book. But when I heard J. C. do it the first time, it gave me cold chills - it still does. Put on the head phones, turn down the lights (or light some candles) and listen to this song.

thefed, I hope you DO hear it at your funeral - from the celestial realms, of course.

Hope it's a long time until you need the song!!

Aretha?

I do hope that by the time you need to have Amazing Grace sung at your funeral, Fede, that you'll be old enough to be looking for a version by an as-yet-unborn singer!
