I really do not get this one. It sounds like it means something, but it does not. To break it down logically, this is what it says:

A is like B.
If C, you don't need A.

Well lessee.
Consumers are comprised of men and women. Debt is like air to consumers, jobs are like air to men & attention is like air to women. Therefore jobs and attention are to men & women as debt is to men and women. Therefore jobs and attention are equivalent to debt. Ergo, apropo of nothing, if you become wealthy you are in a rarified atmosphere, that is, an atmosphere lacking in air. QED

This sounds poetic, but the logic is flawed.

The last line can never be completely true...at least as long as you are still breathing

You may not carry debt, but you still consume
Women always want attention to some degree or another, no matter how much money they have
Men will always have "jobs" of some sort...[-]counting[/-] managing thier money if nothing else
