Found my old AF ID card, which should have been taken from me when I discharged. After I got out, I went to college using the GI Bill.

I'm old and fat and grey now!

But you've still got some hair now, I think, from a more recent photo. That's something.

You sure weren't back then! You look great in the photo, especially for a photo on an ID card.

I remember those haircuts, too. My brothers had the same type of haircut.

Oh, and also, be glad you're old fat and grey now - - some of us are old, fat, and white-haired now.

Hey, you're looking terrific! And very slim and trim for someone who lived in New Orleans for 30+ years. :D

Hmmm - + 6 inches at the waist - went shopping at Costco today. The shirt helps.

heh heh heh - ;) Need to tighten up so I can indulge in local BBQ on occasion.

There's a glass wall.

How 'bout these guys?

PS. Were they in real danger? No, not really.

“Saturday’s completion of the 294-foot, 9-inch spire marks a milestone achievement in the construction of the Wilshire Grand tower — now officially the tallest building west of the Mississippi,” said project spokeswoman Leigh Kramer.

But how did those men get all the way up there?

They climbed an internal maintenance ladder all the way to the top and were harnessed to the inside and outside of the structure, Kramer said.

Whoa, these photos are utterly nightmarish to someone like me. My fear of falling from great heights is unbelievably intense. To me that seems rational! :2funny: I'm not scared at all in airplanes, but put me right next to a floor to ceiling window in a high rise and I'm likely to become a babbling idiot.

Years ago when I arranged the public defense for my doctoral dissertation, the only room available was (you guessed it) a corner room on the 10th floor, with floor to ceiling windows on two walls.

I am so proud of myself because in my absolute, sheer, unbridled terror I "turned a lemon into lemonade", so to speak, much to my surprise. The huge quantities of adrenaline pumping into my system, helped me to be more on my toes and in the moment. It was sort of like drinking 1,000 cups of coffee in two seconds. I did so much better of a job of it than I ever thought possible for me and powered on through. It was one of those over-the-top experiences that slows time down, and that you remember all of your life. It all worked out.

See? Just looking at the photo turned me into a babbling idiot. :ROFLMAO:

Ah, now that people are interested, I will have to ask if you have heard of the Chinese rooftopper who ended up filming his own fall to death?

Why these rooftoppers do this? Apparently, they make good money from their blogs or videos.

On the other hand, the iron workers on the Wilshire Grand Spire in LA were not in any danger. They took all the precaution and had all the safety equipment and procedure. It's their daily job!
