I was thinking of freezing my credit and noticed on here that some people lock their credit. What is the difference between a lock and a freeze? Which is the easiest to use and the best to protect people from opening credit in your name? I imagine this subject has been covered before so, If this is not the right place for this thread or a continuation of a previous, please place a link. thanks

OP - think of it as Alliteration: Frank Freeze.

That's the answer.

By the way I unfroze all 3 of my accounts for 2 days, took about 5 minutes, then applied for a credit card and was approved instantly.
My freeze will re-freeze after the 2 days, so nothing more to do.
easy-peasy.
