I retired at the end of September. I'm 62, so not all that early. It's wonderful to wake up in the morning and not wonder what sort of sh!t show might await me when I check my emails.

I did make $65 playing my monthly gig with my Bluegrass band, but I would do that if it didn't pay a penny.

Time for a nap.

Cheers!

Congratulations! (Wish I could hear that Bluegrass band.)

Me too, and it sounds as if you'll have things to do in retirement (very important, so you don't sit around and start thinking, "Oh, how I miss those emails!":LOL::LOL:)

Congratulates. I would have responded earlier but I was taking a nap too!

I’ll never forget that first day after retirement! Isn’t it awesome [emoji41]

No boss! No employees! No expectations! It’s blissful!

Congratulations! Welcome to the club! You won’t regret it.

Welcome to the retirement club!
It sounds like you already have a fun thing going with your band.
Look forward to hearing more from you.

Congrats ! Enjoy the retirement. 62 is fine. Are you getting your SS income.

Congratulations. My DH and I love it.

We also like bluegrass music.

Congratulations! I retired at 60….not that early either. But it’s still great!

Congratulations Lurchins. I was 63 when I finally pulled the trigger. Wish I had done it sooner but then I'd have missed a buyout offer.

Enjoy your naps and your bluegrass gigs and whatever else retirement brings you!
