I started to write the following:
"...A kid I've seen around but don't know? Sure. What's a buck or two.
A kid I've never seen before? No...."
THEN, [-]my paranoia[/-] reality kicked in. In today's world I'm leery about being around kids at all without parents being present.
We recently had a completely innocent situation where an old man and his wife were offering candy from their car to kids at a playground. You can imagine the rest of the story. Cops, DA, news people coming to their house.
They were cleared of course (and were idiots in the first place), but who needs that!
A friend stopped being an Uber driver when he figured that just about every one of his passengers was a 26 year old woman alone in the car with him. He realized that he was just one false accusation away from a ruined life.
