Thinks s/he gets paid by the post
I have 3 in my house. Wanting a 4th. Must work with my Synology NAS. Would like something that does a better job of filtering out false positives. Right now, I get a security alert when the home phone rings or when the timer controlled lights come on.
While we are home, I might point it outside with the hope of getting video of the skunk, deer, raccoon, and whatever else visits.
DW has found the Foscam R4S. My browser finds too many choices. And there are so many choices that Synology can't keep up with the testing of new brands. In theory, any camera that supports the ONVIF standard should work, but....
I want to spend under $100. Any Synology users out there who have a recommendation?
Another issue is that Synology wants some absurd amount of money (maybe $100) to add extra cameras to the NAS (above 2 cameras). I don't want to set up a separate server for this. What do you Synology users do?
Thanks.
