I usualy use speed tests @ dslreports.com. From speed tests there, and from actual downloads, my average speed is somewhere between 4.0 & 5.2 Mbps.

I feel the need for speed!!!

I haven't tested my speed in a long time. I clocked 4.64MB down which surprised me so I tried DSL reports and clocked 4.75 down/ 640K up. I have DSL and am only paying for T1 speeds. Of course it is from an ISP owned by a guy who used to work for me so maybe he is tossing in a deal. He uses Covad for the DSL link. Have they cranked up the downside speed in general

How are some of you guys getting above 10mbps? I didn't even think speeds like that were even avaliable except via fiber optics in select metropolitan cities like Dallas. Just for my own curiosity sake, would you guys link your ISP webpage so i can see those kinds of speeds advertised?

I test about 5Mbps download using AT&T DSL (Elite package), and 630kbps up.

I use Comcast. I just did another test and this is what I got:

Comcast shows up to 8Mbps (which is believeable), so maybe that speed test is broke. http://www.comcast.com/Customers/FAQ/FaqDetails.ashx?Id=2580 Are you paying for the higher speeds?

1.21 Mbit/s down; 1.08 Mbit/s up - this is at work with T1(s).

At home it is usually 5-6 Mbit/s down and ~500kbit/s up with cable modem.
