Are the last 8 months the most difficult?

My plan it to stop working in April 2005 (the house is on the market).
Question: Was the last 6 months the most difficult to get through?

I'm busy doing next years' budget and long range plan now and all I can think about is what a pain in the butt this all is. I just want to get through the day and to the weekend. I feel like a short timer in prison. But one day I will be waving good by while others are still behind their bars (office doors). But I'm not sure if I can make it to April.

Was the last 8 months the most difficult for you? How did you deal with it.

I feel sorry for those who are just starting our or have years to go until RE.

Re: Are the last 8 months the most difficult?

My husband retires the end of October. I can see him struggling the last few weeks having to go to the office. He is taking many more days off now and e-mails me a few times during the day saying he only has so many days to officially go to work. Two months will go by fast!! I am the one who usually crunches the financial numbers, but he kept us on course for an early retirement.
