So, today in the news a certain very famous person has been showing their AARP card. I'm past that birth date year (50), and was wondering why this organization never contacted me, even though they contacted DW. It seems to almost be a right of passage.

And then it occurred to me. I opted out of junk mail!

DW gets requests from AARP, financial "advisers", and many, many retirement land and real estate people. I get none of this.

It turns out I'm registered with https://www.dmachoice.org/

Yep, it works. Even AARP respects it. I highly recommend this if you want to shut down your mail volume. Of course, maybe you want some of it. That's fine if you do. I'm just saying if you use the service, it really does shut down a lot of the mail.
