I took a lump sum in December.
The IRA providers sent me letters in January with the amounts. I verified them with my own calculation.
In December, I checked my YTD income and taxes to see where I stood on withholding. I was behind, so I specified a withholding amount on the RMD that got my taxes even for the year.
