I got a similar card from Kaiser called Healthy Savings. It does not seem to have money loaded on it, it's more like coupon savings that will apply when you swipe the card at the store. Participating stores include Walmart, Albertsons, Food 4 Less, Ralphs, Vons, Walgreens and more.

Thanks for the follow-up. It does look like if you buy food that isn't too pre-packaged, and you go into the store, it will work as "free groceries". Good to know.


Concerning the Kaiser card, this card also is supposed to come with "offers" that are more like coupons, but the cash balance is the main event.

My wife got a $300 card from BCBS for watching short video on Covid.
There is a warning,
"if in doubt do not use card, it could affect your high deductible status."

I got a few "rewards" cards from BCBSNC for watching videos and just got one for going to my annual physical. I didn't see the warning about the high deductible status, but my cards were small potatoes...$25 each.
