I'd like a thread for sharing great museums online, webcams, performances, etc. I catch fleeting references, then can't find them again.

If you have anything, could you put the name in the title section rather than leaving it blank?

Something like an online stroll through an aquarium would be great for kids at home!

Our public library sent out an e-mail with some on-line stuff.

One that struck me was free access to a site where you can learn a new language.

I was stopped when it asked for my library card #. I haven't seen that thing in years.

Our county library system gives us free online access to:

  • Kanopy streaming movies
  • a bunch of streaming music services
  • language courses, including Rosetta Stone
  • ebooks and e-magazines
  • many dozens of online education sites
Some of these were a surprise even to me, and I am very involved with our libraries.

+1
Check if your library has Kanopy. A lot of wonderful streaming content that you may not find on other services.

Coursera has many free online courses on a myriad of topics. Some taught by the very best university professors. I have taken several that I really enjoyed
