I started this wall hanging in January, worked on it regularly all year, and was happy to finish it in time to display this Christmas. I didn't keep track of the time spent, but I'd estimate at least 120 hours.
That looks great !!! What is the size ?
and I brought you some cookies again
too bad I can not share smell and taste, they go very well with my morning coffee
It's 55" x 66". This is the first project I've done with such detailed stitching and in retrospect I should have started with a smaller item. My technique improved over the course of the project and I can see the mistakes I made in the early stages, but hopefully they are not glaringly obvious to the casual observer. (If anyone who visits me is rude enough to mention the mistakes, they can get out!)

First off I would like to say there is some very talented people here! Here some carving I do they are all hand carved NO electric tools used just old fashion hand tools.
This made me . Just got home from work where we had a lot of meetings today. The last meeting, guess President was getting tired, someone made a sarcastic comment about some mistakes (just little things) in the presentation and they were told to "get out of this room!". Never saw our Prez so mad.
Almost forgot to compliment you on the wallhanging, really nice work.

Funny thing about 6 months later while out on his morning run he had a heart attack and died.
Awesome carvings.
Does this go along with your avatar? The wife and I have inexplicably become interested in crochet and macrame. I'm currently working on a replacement watch band out of hemp cord, and the wife has been busy crocheting coffee mug cozies and cup sleeves, coasters, and a hot pad sort of thing. At least it keeps the mind off of politics.
We had a people-oriented motivational manager replaced with such a sweetheart. We called him Stevie Stonebreaker. Fatal Coronary at 52 much later. We got together for a minor "Celebration of Death"!run by one of these hard chargers. One morning news came in that he died while out jogging before work....

Hemp cord. You're thinking of something else. Plus Heisenberg never dabbled in that cheap stuff...

Maybe we can get back on track for posting about items we've made, thanks1
