Your memory is fading . I bought it seven years ago and despite it being a good car . I was never truly crazy about it . It had great mileage , was reliable expect for that air conditioning and paint problems . The Rav4 has all the new safety equipment ,plus the ride is nicer and for only the second time in life I bought a car that was loaded .Maybe senility is setting in or Rob is affecting me instead of caviar I went for a top of the line radio system.

My memory was correct! I distinctly remember you posted a picture of a white CRV. I would have liked a white one, but they only came with black seats, and I wanted a lighter colour. So my CRV is dark cherry with beige seats.

I had paint problems too, on my passenger door. I first thought someone had run into it with a trolley. I had the door repainted (insurance covered it) but it recurred with no obvious cause and I decided to ignore it. I also had a nasty surprise the first time I took it to a car wash. The moonroof leaked! It had not been installed properly. That $1000 episode was taken care of under warranty. As for the ride, I find it very comfortable, if a little noisy on the highway. I get good mileage too. But I still think my 1995 Honda Accord was a better vehicle. It never gave me any trouble until the rust set in.

Oh darn! There goes my superior memory.

I still remember events, but get the timeline all mixed up. It's all downhill from here.

Ok, how about this?

Before the CR-V, Moe drove a Solara. Am I correct?

My paint started coming off in half dollar size pieces and then it was orange size pieces . The paint problem and the air conditioning were after warranty .Apparently 2007 was not a good year for Honda Crv's . I also felt my Toyota Solara was my dream car so I returned to Toyota .I rotate between Nissan , Toyota and Honda . The last American car I bought was a Geo Prism which had a Toyota engine . I gave it to my daughter and she drove it to just under 300,000 miles.

My son has a hand-me-down 1995 Geo Prizm with the Toyota engine. It has somewhere around 250,000 miles. He just drove it from Virginia to Colorado and back a couple of weeks ago. Only issue was he got stopped by the state patrol in Kansas. They were checking for pot. I guess that is standard procedure for Kansas these days. (No. They did not find any.)

You think that's bad... I opened this thread to post something. After reading and posting on the latest threads, I forgot what I opened the thread for!

Picked up a prescription for DW, went to the gym, pickup new contact lenses for me on the way home. 97° on the way home so we're staying inside with the A/C cranking. When the electric bill comes I won't complain a bit, it'll be worth every penny!

We both grew up in homes without A/C and do not have fond memories of that part of it.

Speaking of storms - when I got home the other day DH said there had been a very close lightning strike. How close? Not sure. The power didn't go out, but he later figured out that it fried the surge protector for the RV.

This is the link to the brand/style we have. It's priced higher now than when we purchased it. It has a lifetime warranty, so has been mailed in for repair or replacement. I imagine we'll get a refurbished one, but not sure.

So far, it seems most everything in the RV is okay - so it did its job for the most part - but the remote for leveling doesn't work. That will take some troubleshooting.

Took the sleepovering 5 year old to the donkey sanctuary...wondered if we could find one named "Hote"..no luck.

She found the semi-feral cats a little 'safer' to approach.

Her comment of the day...she said she knew that "ham came out of pigs", "But wasn't sure if they pooped it or puked it".

Day 2 on the Bourbon Trail in Louisville, KY. Four distilleries down, six to go!

Yesterday we saw the play Cyrano de Bergerac at an outdoor theater in the round at Wente Vineyards, performed by the Livermore Shakes Festival. We enjoyed the play - they put on some pretty cool sword fights. Today's main event was a hike at Inspiration Point in Tilden Regional Park in the Berkeley Hills. The trail has pretty views of the bay to the west and mountains to the east.

Went to the doctor for my annual checkup, got a haircut, went to the range, then out to dinner and a movie with the young wife (Dunkirk). It was a good Friday, but very hot and humid.

Yesterday, backed up F-I-L mac all-in-1 system with time capsule. Been relatively fortunate since 2012, with no data loss. Making another backup today to a 128GB flash drive.

Took a look at possibly replacing the BIOS battery, and adding memory. Unfortunately there are 80 steps to disassemble and just as many to put it back together.

Heavy kitchen day. Local peaches are in season and it's one of the best crops in years. Apparently lots of rain early then dry spell as it ripened which concentrates the sugars.

Made and canned peach jam, made a peach cobbler, then made fresh pasta sauce with seasonal basil. Mmmmm

Went for a hike in the National Forest with DD, her hubby, and a couple that are friends of theirs. I didn't have any trouble keeping up with them. That made me feel pretty good. It was a nice hike with some ups and downs and an old miner's stone cabin at the far end which was pretty neat. Then down to the little town for pizza for dinner. A very nice day.

We went to a Third Eye Blind concert at the Greek theater in Berkeley tonight. They put on a pretty good show. We tried out some new bleacher chairs I bought at Costco. They were really comfortable with nice back support - much better than sitting on stone stadium style seats for four hours.

Saturday we went to an event called Urban Market Night at Rock Wall Wine Company. Rock Wall is a wine company in a huge converted air plane hanger at the former naval base on Alameda Island. That was a fun night out. They had had a lot going on - fire dancers, aerialists, food trucks, artist booths, a salsa band, outdoor seating with pretty views, dancing with a DJ in a geodesic dome and wine bars.

We were kind of disappointed with the movie, but YMMV
Today had lunch with DS and both grandsons. Older one just finished his first year at UCLA, and the younger one is will be a senior in HS. He scored quite high on his SAT.
Both boys seemed to be focused on their future, which I have to thank their mother for.

Woke up in the mancave at my camp around 5 AM... Stepped out the door, and maybe 15 feet away a momma deer and two spotted fawns, stopped munching on grass looked me for a while, then resumed eating.

Later came home, cut grass, did some weeding. I sure make a lousy gardener. So far the weeds are winning.

Did an aerial photography photo shoot for a helicopter company over the Chicago skyline. Trying to figure out Squarespace to make a personal website.
