I have been known to do vodka, soda water, ice, and a sugar-free flavored sweetener like Mio. Sort of like a grape or cherry crush with a kick. And no, I don't have any worries about artificial sweeteners!
I lost 25 lbs doing low carb back in early 2016, mainlining Diet Coke the entire time. I felt great, and felt like I finally found the way of eating that worked best to fight my lifelong battle with carbs. Then DH got sick, and I gained it back--but I'm sort of shocked that I have returned to it and have lost 10 lbs, at a time in my life when it would be easy to just lose myself in junk food.
