That may have been the most entertaining game all season where I didn't care who won. Or at least the second half.

How Watson got out of the clutches of two rushers, then throw a pass with a long run after to set up the winning FG in OT is beyond me. Watson was amazing in the second half, culminating in that last play before the FG.

He needed to make up the absolutely terrible first half he had... That was awful. He certainly spent enough time on the ground from all the sacks. Some day the Texans need to learn to play both halves and then they may actually get some respect.

Lucky OT win......... Glad to see that JJ made it back this year....

I watched that in slow motion... it seems to me that in evading the first rusher he might have been falling forward, but the hit by the 2nd rusher straightened him back up and help him to spin around out of their clutches. Amazing.

..And thus the Patriots season ends...

Yup.... reality is that the Patriots were not very strong this year.. and not as strong as their record or some stats suggested.

I wasn't very happy with the playcalling when the Pats were in the red zone with a first and goal from the one in the second quarter.... spread things out a bit for goodness sake.

I've always liked Vrabel and Tannehill and the Titians played well tonight... so I'll be a Titans fan next weekend.

Patriots lose...Yessssss ! As always, it was a hard fought game to the end, and you never know what tricks Belichek, and Brady can pull out in the last minute.

I didn’t expect much this year, but their last two games were sad and sadder. The difference was Derrick Henry last night. Belichick is famous for neutralizing another teams biggest threats, but Henry ran all over them all night. And what an ignominious end, a pick. It will be interesting to see next years Patriots, it’s been an historic run but it’s time for Brady to retire. Not as bad as Peyton’s last year, but Tom is clearly beyond his prime. And he didn’t seem to have his usual fire last night, or the cameras didn’t show it.

Lots of great teams to watch in the weeks ahead, especially looking forward to Mahomes v Jackson. Could be as much fun as Mahomes v Goff last season...

Any Patriot's loss is a good thing. But to be beat by the Texas a few weeks ago in the regular season and now the Titans in the playoffs must be embarrassing for them.

And can Brady live with the last play of his career being an interception? I suspect he'll be back next year.

I'll be the first to agree that Brady had an off year by his standards... IMO a combination of declining skills, inexperienced receivers, and inconsistent offensive line protection.

Now all of that said, even with his declining skills Brady is ahead of most quarterbacks in the league. I'd rather have Brady running the offense than Stidman and it is unlikely that the Patriots could draft or acquire a quarterback who could do better than Brady... so if he wants to continue playing then he's our guy... warts and all... until Stidman develops if that is a realistic possibility.

Here's my thinking... Josh McDaniels is obviously going to be offered a head coaching job and will likely take it since it doesn't seem that Bill Bellichick will retire anytime soon... that means that the Partiots will need a new OC.... just saying that I think Brady would make a good and potentially great OC and quarterbacks coach because he is a thinking quarterback and he and Bellichick would probably work well together given their long history.

But could Tommy psychologically step back from being the star quarterback and coordinate "his" old offense? I dunno.

Or perhaps this is just the musing of an old New England Partriots fan dreaming....

Interesting possibility, I was wondering the same thing. However, Peyton was/is a “thinking player” who I thought might be interested in OC>coach, but everyone tells me that’ll never happen. Brady might be the same. With his family net worth, maybe a team owner (like Michael Jordan) - just kidding.

As for the future Pats, they’re going to have to rebuild eventually, and it won’t happen with Brady so might as well get started. There’s no way they can go directly from dynasty to dynasty, no team ever has. The Pats dynasty lasted far longer than most, but it can’t go on indefinitely.

At least the haters are happy, so there’s that...

Titan's running back Henry is a Pat's slayer.
Reminds me of Eagle's Blount.

I thought Brady's last touchdown pass was classic. Too bad it was to the Titans!

I came to post this. [emoji111]

Tennessee played a good game and Vrabel deserves tons of credit. Losing to a former Patriot like Vrabel doesn't sting as much. I'll be rooting for the Titans in the AFC and the 49ers (Jimmy G) in the NFC.

The Pats will have a lot to consider this offseason. Along with Brady they have a lot of free agents and will be losing McDaniels and a couple of other assistants but will remain a competitive team as long as they have Belichick.

Watched the Patriots/Titans game last night. I think most glaring than anything on the Patriots lack of offense was no Gronk to get the ball to during crunch time.

Thought that was bad strategy of the Titans to punt and give Brady the ball back with about 5 minutes left. Though, the Pats got stopped, so I guess the strategy worked. Though within the rules, not crazy from a fans perspective seeing the clock get milked with delay of game penalties.

Talk about bad strategies that worked. What about the Texans decision to kick a FG on first down from the 10 yard line with plenty of time left. STUPID IMO.... Why not try to "run" it in for 3 plays before kicking the FG... They gave up 3 extra chances... STUPID... Sure it's possible someone could have fumbled but it's not as likely as Fairbairn missing another FG like he has this season.... STUPID but it still worked.

I somewhat agree...but they were so close that IF there was a bad snap they could just take the sack and still have time for another try on second down.

Its been a good weekend of football.

Texans won due to Bills poor coaching.
Pats lost due to Brady throwing an INT.
Saints lost ... well they just got outplayed at home.
Lets see what is going on in this next game. Go.... Eagles? (no dog in that fight)

My bold above. That interception with around 9 seconds to go was not the deciding factor in the Pats loss.

In my opinion, the Pats lost mainly because they couldn't punch it in from the 1 yard line on 3 downs.
