We were at Costo a few weeks ago and picked up a package of TP's, and we were like, well, we'll get another package just in case, and that's already 60 rolls, y'all!

Made me look. 65 rolls of Charmin from Costco. Two 30 roll packs plus the 5 stragglers from the last pack. Probably good through the summer. 19 rolls of Bounty paper towels. That's close to a year's supply, as they are not used for general cleaning. Guess I should check on how much Procter and Gamble stock has dropped... might be time to buy some!

The initial count was easy. Got a new 28 pack that's says in big bold text "28". 2 strays on top were easy to spot. One by each seat (2) and three in the upstairs magazine below the duty roll. That's an easy 35. You had to mention the paper towels. One in use and a 2 pack in the pantry. As I was checking the facial tissue supply (1 in use and 2 on the shelf) I realized that I have an 8 pack of the blue shop towels in the garage as a back up to the back up to the back up. Just DW and me so we should be good for 4 months.

DW has always had a desire to have 50+ rolls in the house. I recently installed Clear Rear Bidets in the bathrooms. It is a DIY project that takes about 30 minutes per toilet. The water is not heated and does not require electricity. For about $40 each, it is a very effective product and greatly reduces TP usage.

I'm in the 97 to 144... by accident.

My favorite is Sam's Club brand deluxe or whatever they call it. It's a monster package. It was on special in January and I didn't want to drive 60 miles to the store.

They have weird way of calculating shipping and the cost to ship 3 of those big boys was only about 2 dollars more then the cost to ship one.

So I have 3 plus the half pack I had in my house..sometimes its better to be lucky then good...

I am a similar "luck rather than skill" category. I never make a shopping list and fall into the "may as well grab one" trap while at Sam's or Costco. I just looked, and I have over 100 rolls...and that is without shopping for it in the last month! Also good on paper towels, three of the large Sam's club Members Mark style packages.

Isn't that water cold? Somehow I wanted my tushy and have a nice warm bath. A cold shower would be bad for me.

About 70. I stocked up a couple weeks ago. I've been through enough hurricanes to know what is about to happen. I am a bit surprised places like Costco could not figure that out close to a month ago and adjust for what was coming.

It is the temperature of your tap. The first couple times was "invigorating", but we quickly got used to it.

Unless you are hoarding it during a time of limited supply thereby forcing some people to go without any. That would be having too much.

To clarify, I was speaking in general terms as I selected the 13-24 range on the poll :).

Didn't even buy new rolls since the virus outbreak. Had stocked up on a bunch from Costco a few months back.

Many years ago my brother and I realized that my mom had a stock of maybe 50 rolls of TP. There were packages in every bathroom, and the hall closet, and the garage. She got mad when we teased her about it a little bit.

Fast forward to today-

If we can't find anymore TP, in about 2 weeks we are going to pack up and head for the summer place. I know we have a stock there! It is either that, or figure out how those 3 seashells work!

Now I know what to do with all those d*mn dryer sheets!

Well ... looks like I ordered a 45-roll pack from Sam's Club in January. Each bathroom is stocked, and I have 3 unopened 9-packs in the pantry.

I had about four left and was about to buy more anyway, probably no more than 12. I ended up getting 24 double rolls because of Corona. Just for myself.

Trying to get rid of toilet paper.

Never stock it, always running out (or almost). Bought two packs about a month ago without much thought. As CVD got worse I noticed it was 1-ply so thought I'd upgrade. Replaced it with 3-ply. Then got worried DD would clog the low-flow toilets. Replaced the 3-ply with 2-ply. CVS was out of Diet Coke and I had a $5 coupon to use and didn't want to shop so grabbed another TP roll. Figured it would go to good use - eventually.

Here there's been plenty of stock of most everything, tho haven't checked the TP recently.

Who woulda thought there would be a run on TP. So now, guilty, I'm rehoming it. The 3-ply went to an elderly disabled friend. I've got the full remaining 1-ply pack sitting out ready to go someplace. It's too much - literally.

2 packs of 36 rolls, so thus 72 rolls. 4 people in our house, so more wiping.:D

Flawed poll?

But the critical question is how many fannies are serviced by the strategic stockpile of TP? And usage rate?

A 'more refined' asspect is: (TP stock 'pile') divided by (number of fannies) multiplied by the inverse of (average use per day for each fanny) equals (days remaining until SHTF).

Clearly I have too much time on my hands.

better question is what will you use if you run out?

I’d find some way to rinse as much as possible at the toilet. I have a bidet seat, but you could use any contraption that would shoot water. That would get the majority of the waste. Then I would use something to wipe with. That could be anything (not flushing it) like some paper towel on up to a wash cloth. It wouldn’t be fun, but in terms of an emergency, perfectly doable. It’s pretty far down on the list of things I’d be concerned about. Running out of food or having the water shut off would be examples of things that would be way higher on my list of concern versus how to keep myself clean as long as I do have water.

Geez, has everyone forgotten leaves? I remember reading about using leaves almost 60 years ago.

I remember using leaves while camping with my cousin when we were young. He chose the wrong leaf - poison ivy.
