Wonderful heavy rain and thunder to begin the week, which we need. Now experiencing four days in the 70's, yesterday was like summer! Crazy

Wind and rain this week has the leaves falling before peak color in southern Wisconsin. I'm wearing shorts today with high of 64, but outdoor pickleball season is nearing its end.

Still 2 hot in Phoenix..... hitting or near 100 every day until next Monday when we get our first day we stay in the 80's.

I always have to laugh when people say the wind doesn't blow inn Montana. Eastern part is windy, but the west is terrible for wind all the time. From Glacier, Great Falls, Livingston and south it blows all the time and bad.

Yep Western Montana is extremely windy. We went to Glacier a month ago, windy the whole time. Got caught in a rain/ wind storm hiking in the woods. Wind was over 20 mph in thick woods. Don't have conditions like that in northern Illinois, except during tornadoes. I think the max wind velocity on my weather station for the year is about 10 mph.

Although we have chilly, autumn-like mornings and cool way down at night, we’re hitting a dry 98 degrees today in the Inland Empire of SoCal:

We are moving back into the 80's during the day and 60's at night down in south Texas. Great weather and it will be cooler soon! Sure beats the 109 F days we had this summer.

This is the best time of year down here and it turns into a mild winter. Love it and snow is a once in 5 year event, but not much of it when it happens.

It's 80F already here in our New Orleans suburb, at 10:32 AM. No rain predicted.

I hope this doesn't mean we're going back to triple digits any time soon. We've been enjoying lows in the 50's and highs in the 70's lately.

When I lived in S. Florida, it was this time of the year that I went crazy.

I couldn't believe the morning heat! I needed a break like I had where I grew up. It took me a long time to get used to it, then I moved.

It does make sense, though, since the Gulf of Mexico is still so warm. It causes the deep South to have those lingering warm nights.

Don't forget about the 100 Billion tons of concrete retaining heat during the day for night time heating!

I do like the heat, in general, but I also appreciate the break in the heat that we usually get for a couple of months each year.

Oh well! I guess if it was that big a deal to me I could move back to windward Oahu (which for me has the world's most perfect weather), but I'm just too [-]cheap[/-] [-]stingy[/-] [-]frugal[/-] tight with my money to pay what it costs to live there these days (median home cost $1.4 million! yikes).

Plus, Frank is happiest here, so that means I am, too.

~Six weeks ago, we were still hitting 100+ almost daily. This week the forecast is calling for a low in the upper 20's by Wednesday. We also have been getting some much needed rain the past week. All changes are welcome.

What a change in a short time.

Still highs of 89/90 in FLA, but lower humidity and lows in the 60's.
Low 80's coming this week.

When I came inside a couple of hours ago, it was 86 F outside. I just stepped out and it's 62 F. (north of Houston, TX)

^^^^^
I just opened the north gate up here a few hours ago to let the cold air pass through. It's heading south to you now. Upper 40's here now.

In truth, the north wind is blowing so hard my automatic swing gate can't close against the wind.

A week ago today, we had 60 no snow, now the highs been upper 20's to low 30's. A couple of days ago we got the first snow. What a change in one week.

Accumulating snow in the forecast tomorrow. Suck! It's only an inch or so but I was hoping to get a few more weeks before that happened.

Highs in the 30s today in southern Wisconsin. Saw my first snow flurries of the season. More snow possible tomorrow night.

Woke up to near blizzard conditions this morning. Ground and air temps around freezing will keep accumulation to a minimum but we already have an inch on all surfaces and it's still snowing. All highways in the area are gridlocked due to accidents. Too early for this sh!t.

Wow! Glad you aren't stuck out there on the highways.

Here it was 51F outside when I awakened (brrrr!), and I thought that was awful. Luckily my house is well enough insulated that it is still 71F inside, without turning on the heater yet. So, I'm staying inside. It's supposed to rain today but hasn't started.

Stay safe and warm if you can, Aaron!

I need to move somewhere where 51 for a low is cold. We will likely not see 51 even for a high for at least 5 months. In the mid 20's the next couple mornings. My furnace was on for 7.5 hours yesterday and it's not even technically Winter yet. Never set it for over 70 yet it's still on a lot.

Texas (south) or Louisiana where it rarely gets below freezing, but it does happen once every few years. Plus, it's pretty inexpensive to live here.

+100

Although we do have our share of disadvantages, too. For New Orleans I am thinking of hurricanes, violent crime, etc.
