Tesla Stock Price As the Tesla shorts have faded, questions still remain about whether TSLA stock is over priced. The following video does a good job, in my opinion, of laying-out why there is still room to run. The comparison to Amazon is a good one:

More power to you. It is not my job (I am retired, after all) to convince you beyond any reasonable doubt that the transition to cell phones happened within 10 years. That was my experience, but we each have our own experiences crosses to bear. I think I have been pretty consistent with my...

I am referring to countries that have a history of steady and reliable electricity. If blackouts are the norm in a country, then there are bigger problems than EVs.

Agreed. The rolling blackouts have already started in CA and TX is beefing up their grid after the failure last winter. Germany also had to back off from their move to shut down fossil fuel electric plants. Blackouts are not something people will tolerate for long.

What is there to "back-up"? I made a simple comparison. If you disagree, so be it. Time will tell. Number them, index them, and place them in your gotcha file.

Always entertaining. I don't know about you, but I lived through the transition from landline telephones to cell phones and tube TVs to flat screens. I also lived through the shift to online shopping and the death of malls. Were you not around then? did you not observe how quickly these new...

You are, of course, correct that no one knows with any certainty how fast the switch will occur. That being said, the shift has been occurring faster than predicted, not slower. If all we were talking about was government pressure to switch to EVs, I would agree that it will be slower than...

Agreed that range and charging need to get better and they are. The "infrastructure" bill will speed it up even more (not a comment in support of gov subsidies, just a fact). One big difference from ICE is that every location with an electrical outlet can be a "gas station" for an EV. In that...

Good luck trying to by an ICE (or even a hybrid) in 2030. Battery advancements, charging infrastructure, government pressure...etc. will have killed ICE for autos by then. ICE to EV is akin to moving from landlines to cell phones or tube monitors/TVs to flat screens. Just like with those...

Sounds like you are on top of it. How long before the legacy makers catch Tesla in the EV market?

I am hopeful that those who will accept blackouts and crazy prices are a vocal minority of the population (located mostly in CA). They will not prevail until energy storage is figured out.

I don't know that we are disagreeing on anything. I think it is obvious that wind and solar cannot replace fossil fuel generation until we get better energy storage solutions. Those storage solutions appear to be decades out. In the meantime, natural gas is the cleanest available source to fill...

I agree that more electricity will need to be generated, but it will be a gradual increase and fully within our control. Most Americans would love to see solar and wind displace fossil fuel electric generators, but they will not accept rolling blackouts or crazy energy prices while that...

I'm sure it is real. The question is whether it is a sufficient excuse to account for the drop in sales or just a convenient way to distract from other issues like poor management and weak products. Time will tell. Tesla adapted and overcame. Here is just one way they outperformed the legacy...

Tesla's Competition GM and other legacy car makers have used the "chip shortage" to explain their drop in sales. Cathie Wood points out that EVs actually use more chips than ICE and that Tesla sales continue to climb: https://www.teslarati.com/tesla-tsla-bull-cathie-wood-vs-gm-sales/ Tesla's...
