Investments in 2022: -9.3% on AA 74/20/6 (skewed since we are still adding)

Mine ended up at -17.21% and my DW at -21.63% she was in a more conservitive allotment with more bond exposure, which I think is the reason. Hopefully this upcoming year will be better.

Overall down -5.25%. AA of 30/70 with the 70 being in a guaranteed fund that returned about +2.4%.

-16.8% across our taxable and pretax accounts from 12/31/21 thru today with a 80/20 AA. I'm not happy but can't complain too much. FXAIX (Fido's SP500 fund) was down 18.19% over the same period.

Actually, I just realized, I can't figure/finalize my 2022 numbers until mid-January since that's when my 401k plan administrator will publish the fixed income rates/amounts for the 4th quarter. I can guesstimate them now, but I've missed my guesses significantly for each quarter during 2022 so far. And I've been very happy with their numbers. :)

-3.40% for Dec, 2022
-19.52% For the year 2022
AA: 76/22/2

staying the course!!

Taxable Brokerage +66.4%
Roth +12.4%
IRA -11.1%

Overall +37.5%

Overweight energy. Taxable brokerage is mildly leveraged.

It’s not as good as it sounds as I almost went bust during the depths of the pandemic in 2020. Fortunately, I am back to having the usual problems of capital gains tax to pay in April.

Down a touch over 19%. Held onto bond fund too long, went into EV and solar stocks at exactly the wrong time, and got burned on weed stocks. Kids will get a bit less than I hoped but it’s not the end of the world.

Looks like I’m down around 12.40%. I still have a little more interest coming in after today, but it won’t move the needle.

Considering the roller coaster year I’m feeling pretty good!

According to my calcs our net worth is still beating inflation since 1999 in spite of given up a lot of our gain against inflation this year, so I can’t complain much. (Knocking on wood of course)

Moneychimp tells me investments are down 16.37 % (AA 85/15) for 2022.

Looks like I am one of the leaders for worst YTD performance.

I ended the year close to the worst it had been all year with a loss of 19.37%.

Looking at the glass half full, this years final expense number was still 3.04% of my severely damaged total portfolio value.

In gross terms, including annual expenses, I am down about 10% since I retired in August 2016.

Down 0.6% on what is currently a 75/25 asset allocation. Interesting to see the wide spreads in returns of the group.
