Thanks for those pics of the space helmet, helps me to visualize. So glad Jeffrey continues to improve. Alan, encourage him to eat things like yogurt to help him heal.
Another FaceTime session this morning with Jeffrey. He spent the night on the CPAP machine in the space helmet but feels he won’t need it during the day. All very encouraging.
He says they want him to eat yogurt this morning for breakfast and even though he doesn’t normally like it we told him to do as he is told as the powerful antibiotics he has been on to combat the secondary infection will have devastated his gut bacteria.
Surely they also have pharmaceutical grade probiotics to help reestablish the gut flora.
Just heard from him and he is going back on a feeding tube. He can’t keep enough food down, still nausea and vomiting plaguing him. He is also on the CPAP machine again during the day. It is just so heart wrenching to witness this as he was bright and breezy on FaceTime early this morning.

Thanks again to everyone, I joined you in prayer again at 10am EST.
Just talked to one of the critical care doctors treating him. She told us he is making progress albeit very slowly. He was currently sitting a chair, first time, and it will be tiring him out. He is spending more time during the day off the CPAP machine although the oxygen level going into the nose canular is quite high.
Continuing to pray, what a roller coaster. I don't think I realized that Covid could make a person so sick on their stomach. It is a sneaky virus that affects so many parts of the body.

Let's hope he can understand her foreign accent.transferring him to our US help desk (his sister).
He is now going to be moved back to the regular Covid ward later today.
It's all good news.
