Oh, I forgot to mention, Apple has released a (beta) version of Safari for Windows.
Since that web browser on the iPhone is Safari, it looks like Apple thought it would be good if Windows users with an iPhone had Safari on their Windows machine, too. This should also encourage developers to code per standards. After all, those iPhone buyers are probably big spenders, so I would think web sites would want to make sure they present properly on a compliant browser, like Safari.
