Assisted living for parents

... I need to recalculate her funds, but based on my last estimates she should have a couple more years before her money is gone and we'll have to get things set up with Medicaid. I'm not looking forward to dealing with all of that.

If you haven't already the time to talk with an elder law attorney was yesterday. Been there, done that. Yes the attorney is pricey, but ignorance when it come to the details of Medicaid is much more so. And what is valid in Maryland where my FIL was is almost certainly not so where you are, hence the need for the attorney to be licensed and practicing in your location.
