We have used Epson ink jet all in one's for the last few printers. 3rd party cartridges are fairly cheap and you can refill some of them yourself. They seem to last about 2-3 years for us before they begin to have print head clogging issues almost every month. We recently switched to a Canon inkjet. Time will tell if this will be better.
