Looking online , a dizzying array of brands and models. Just looking for a low cost ( under $300 ) simple model. Any recommendations ?

Just have to say I must have been living under a rock or something; I never knew these things existed! Back in 1974 I had a "counter top dishwasher." All plastic, loaded some dishes, connected it to the kitchen faucet, covered it, and voila a sort of dishwasher. Times sure have changed.

Too small !!

Even a full size one, which is fine for dishes, bowls, has trouble with 3 pots or roasting pans, etc.

To me, I'd rather just fill the sink (not running water constantly) and wash the dishes and pots, a day's worth takes about 15 minutes.

We have a regular dishwasher, and some stuff doesn't do well in the dishwasher, so we still wash some things by hand.

Leaning toward the model that has an internal water tank , doesn't require a water line. A litter more $ . easier to set up.
