Is it a good time to buy pot stocks ?

I agree to disagree on almost all of your points. In the past, California has not had a vested interest in seriously cracking down on the illegal growers. Now that legal growing will generate millions in tax dollars, ever increasing legal resources will be devoted to shutting them down. Also, there will be a sales trail from the legal pot shop to those who provide their product. A simple crack-down on the shops (as in taking away licenses) combined with huge legal growing operations will render most of illegal crops useless.

+1
See a lot more enforcement of the environmental laws now that the state has a vested interest.
Good to see these laws being enforced.

I'd rather invest in the seller of shovels and pack mules instead of the gold mine. Maybe buy Scotts Miracle Grow.

In the rush to make pot legal I've not seen a discussion of the negative health effects of its smoke. Cannabis is not free from the ill health effects of inhaled tobacco smoke, is it?

1st of all, it's not a 'rush.' It's been legal for medical reasons well over a decade, some states for 2 decades. Other stopped arrests almost that long ago. Some states had it legal for recreation use almost half a decade.

But yes, any inhaled smoke isn't good. Maybe we should limit it to a cooking ingredient? Like adding alcohol (wine or my famous beer cheese soup) to food? How should we enforce that?

Smoking anything isn't exactly healthy, but even my most toasty friends never approach the quantity of pot that the 20-60 cigarettes a day habits many cigarette smokers did with tobacco. But legalization has also opened up access to many other forms of taking in THC that were more difficult in the illegal world. Edibles, vaping, oils, dabs, etc. are all ways to get high without burning vegetable matter. And for that matter, there are plenty of products that can be said to be unhealthy that are used by people every day (alcohol, carbs, caffeine, sodas, etc.). The right to choose to do things that are bad for you is a divine right.

Just as a side comment, Vermont is in the process of becoming the first state to legalize recreational sales of pot through the legislative process as opposed to the initiative process. The governor will probably sign the bill into law in the next couple of days. That will make 9 states (plus DC) that have legalized pot. And according to the Marijuana Policy Project,
"the Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, and Rhode Island legislatures are expected to seriously consider making marijuana legal for adults this year as well."
So I put in a buy order for CANN, although at a limit price a bit below where it is right now. Hopefully Jeff Sessions will say something obnoxious again and there will be a dip in the price. If not, que sera sera.

Many people don't smoke it. You can ingest it in many wonderful recepies; THC/CBDs are fat soluble and can be used in most recepies calling for fats.

If you don't like to eat it you can use the Sessions' treatment, 250mg suppositories! Yes, indeed you can stuff it up your.......!

I'm old school (brownies) .... never heard of:

FWIW: There's all kinds of edible products in Amsterdam, looking for product expansion in a few years. Times are changing

Well...

I haven't personally tried these, but I'm going to.🤣

Here's a link and a snip.

When it comes to cannabis, you probably know that there are multiple ways you can consume it. You can ingest*tasty ediblesthat help with a whole host of symptoms, you can utilize topical cannabis oils for aches and pains, you can drink*cannabis tea, or, of course, you can inhale it. But what about the butt?

While it may make you blush just a bit, rectal marijuana administration has many distinct benefits and it's gaining popularity among cannabis users everywhere. Thanks to the effective nature of rectal cannabis combined with its easy administration and vast health benefits, I personally believe the use of cannabis suppositories is one of the best medical marijuana administration options available to patients today. Here's what you need to know about this seemingly funny form of cannabis:

Top 5 Marijuana Cryptocurrencies

"Cryptocurrencies are making it easy for people in the marijuana business--or simply those who are looking to buy some weed--to carry out transactions. Remember, marijuana is still illegal at the federal level, which poses a variety of challenges for anyone attempting to conduct financial transactions even in states that have legalized pot. While Bitcoin has become widely popular, there a few alternative cryptocurrencies just for the pot sector."

Based on the ingestion and, umm, digestion approaches, I gather the smoke is a health concern. Pot's portrayal in current media is an interesting contrast with that of tobacco.

yes it is, thankfully. THC has caused coin lesions in the lung to totally disappear. I've not seen any studies (or comments even) that claimed proof of medical conditions caused by smoking pot. I have however seen many testimonials of aches and pains that have been curried or symptoms relieved.

i can, but not willing to do the research again. i found it over 4 years ago Google is my friend :)

Well Google is my friend also, and I couldn't a reputable source.

More than likely, you read it on one of those sites promoting pot, and I surely wouldn't consider them reputable for anything medical unless they quoted a reputable source.

The topic is investing. If the concern is that the future investment potential of marijuana companies will be reduced due to marijuana related health concerns, I don't see it. History shows that humans will knowingly engage in all kinds of "risky" behavior if they enjoy it in some way and mere risk does not warrant banning in a free society; case in point, alcohol and cigarettes.

Most agree that marijuana is wrongly classified as a schedule 1 drug and that it is heading towards full legalization in the US and Canada over the next few years. Along with legalization comes huge sums of money pulled from the current black market into the stock market.
