NFL: 2019 Season

The Texans pulled out another squeaker this week. I was actually surprised by this one.

The Browns found another way to lose...to the Rams.

That's the same Rams team that was in the last Super Bowl, right?

The Browns will be good. They came very close to beating one of the league's top teams.

Enjoy this Buffalo defense, it will be close to 2000 Ravens or 2002 Bucs by time season is over.

Next week's Pats - Bills game will be interesting.

Two good defenses:
Pats D gives up 199 yards per game. Bills 300.
Pats give up 5.7 points per game. Bills 15.7.
Pats D has 13 sacks. Bills 7.
Pats D has 6 interceptions. Bills 4.

Two good offenses:
Pats average 35.3 points per game. Bills 22.

It should be a good test for both teams.

Just read the Bills have only covered the spread 2 out of last 12 vs Pat's in Buffalo.
Going to stop at the casino and put a 20 on the Bills hoping for a reversion to mean.
Both are 3-0 but neither has played a really good team yet. Should be a great test for both.

Damn. What a game. These plays will be argued for years.

Weirdest 3rd quarter I've seen.

I'm sure they will debate a few calls forever.

Well. Josh Allen looked pretty dang awful, but the Bills covered the spread!
Unfortunately, I got greedy and bet the money instead of the spread.
Ah well. Made most back on the Browns and Seahawks.

Ouch.

Good defense. But it's hard to see how Allen can beat any good teams while making that many mistakes.

Speaking of awful, I’m wondering if the Chiefs were out partying last night and kept going until game time tonight. Looked like an all around dismal performance against the Colts.

Frank Reich is a very good head coach. Seems to work well with QBs.

45 carries for Colts, 14 for Chiefs. Time of possession: 2:1 Colts.

Chiefs defense struggled to get off the field when the Colts ran the ball. And the man-to-man Colts defense seemed to blanket the Chiefs receivers rather well.

Looking forward to seeing the Chiefs come to Foxboro in December. That should be fun.

The Chiefs depends on Mahomes to perform his magic to win games and when he had an ordinary game they lost. They need a strong defense to win a championship.

As a Cowboys fan every year starts with great expectations and a vision of Super Bowl. After the last two weeks performances, I am about to put my sleep mask on. Dak should have taken Jones $$$ offer several weeks ago.

My vikings won after a cpl tough road losses to division opponents. Looking fwd to the home game here this weekend! Cousins actually looked like an NFL QB, our D got off the field quick and our kicker actually made some kicks! Nice surprise considering the Twins are getting WORKED by the Yankees.

Agreed. As long as we get the starters back, Pats and the GB game will be pivotal for them. I think the multiple starters out with injuries finally caught up with them last night.

The Colts strategy to run, run and run some more was a thing of beauty. If you like the ball control and keep away strategy.

Agree, but if Mahomes had been at 100% it probably would have been a different game.
I didn't see the whole game, but Mahomes seemed to start out great but then he seemed to drop down to mere mortal, the O line wasn't giving him any time. I take it he didn't recover his usual magic.

After watching Dak yesterday, it looked to me like he was on the Packers payroll. 3 interceptions and several others that were "almost interceptions" and at least 3 sacks before I turned the channel. Looked to me like the officials were bias against the Cowboys too.

Not sure if you saw it but he slightly injured his ankle on a sack, which limited his mobility from that point forward.

Every year I expect the Cowboys to get better, may be win playoff games, or pie in the sky, get to the super bowl. Not gonna happen. Now They have excellent players. But their coaching staff is not particularly good. Somewhere Jimmy Johnson is laughing. I saw Rex Ryan on ESPN this a.m. laughing at the team. He called the new offense coach "Boy Wonder". Garrett should be gone already. The team should have been fired up, playing at home after a disappointing loss in New Orleans. That's on Garrett. And Dak needs to produce. After all this is his 4th year. I root for The boys every year, but even eventually get smart. Change the channel.

I did see that. I assumed he walked that off, maybe not.

There definitely were some borderline, if not totally wrong calls. I do think there is something to league prejudice against the Cowboys and probably some other teams too, but the boys don't help themselves much either.

Every team has injuries. Some are deep enough to compensate, others are not.

It would be nice that both teams are completely healthy when they meet, but that seems unlikely.
