I will be golfing ~ 15 times and will likely spend 1/2 hour almost daily on the range. It would be great if my wife golfed, but she doesn't. She might hang out at the range a few times.
As a side, she had a bad experience with her first round of golf. I was at Pinehurst and asked her to play. Since it was summertime, we assumed it would just be us. They paired us up with a Chicago Bears player and his wife. His wife had SIX holes in one in her life. Even though my wife just hit off the tee and decided to putt occasionally, she hated the experience so much that she refuses to ever play golf again.
I think it's important to do the membership so we can enjoy other club activities (pool, social hours, maybe pickleball?), and also for the convenience of keeping the clubs at the course so I can just show up on a bicycle. Their fitness center isn't great, so likely my wife will go somewhere else, but I want her to have the option.
Do you have a couple of favorites zinger?
Lastly, I likely won't sign on the bottom line for the course until the doc gives me the green light to swing again.
