Wall Anchor Question

Sounds like the beginning of a country western ode.
Studs and drapes and curtain rods...

My stud finder keeps pointing at me...

For hanging "stuff" that only applies a downward force, like a picture frame, the plastic anchors work fine, but drapes hanging by brackets away from the wall will apply an outward force perpendicular to the anchor, due to the bracket acting as a lever of sorts. For this I would use an anchor that uses compression on the backside of the drywall, as well as expansion in the pilot hole.
