Unfortunately no, DW does not do manual.

yeah, here in our family only I know how to drive stick.

my youngest wanted me to get the Crosstrek or Impreza with a 5MT so they could learn, but I told them not unless everyone would commit to learning.

I think the 18's come with a 6MT. I could get into that.

New Club Glove bag just for the hell of it

Glad you think so. Give 'em a try, everything I've bought from them has been fantastic.

We are just back from Spacefest, an astronauts' convention where you can rub shoulders with the surviving Apollo flyers. The max ticket was $1K. Bought some autographs, too. As soon as I got home, I ordered up some new filters for my camera.

I was passing through El Paso recently and made an appointment for a custom boot fitting at Rocketbuster Boots (https://www.rocketbuster.com). They make amazing handmade boots to suit the most scrutinizing customers and they have a very impressive shop with many talented, happy artisans. Some of their designs are super colorful and could absolutely be considered works of art. I ordered the “Regal Eagle”, which is more traditional in style and I got to pick-out the materials. Definitely a splurge, but they should last a lifetime. I’m patiently waiting while they make them (just for me!).

Years ago I used to have boots made at "Buffalo Chips" in NYC. One time I was in there and they had a pair they made for Malcolm Forbes that he never picked up. As I was looking around Damon Wayans came in and started eyeing them. We ended up in a bidding war and Damon graciously let me have them at $2,000.00. Funny thing, they were neither Damons or my size!

Those boots will be the best fitting boot you will ever wear!

I had a pair of boots built many years back. This artist/boot maker worked out of an old building no really name of the business. This old cowboy made the best shoe that I ever owned can't even describe how well they fit and wore. I went to have him make me another pair and he had moved closer to his family.

Looks great. I love bimmers.

Heated steering is cool, oh wait, hot, for cold climates. And it is easily done with an embedded resistance heater.

Where I am, I want a cooled steering wheel, so my hands won't get burned. A study says the steering wheel temperature can reach 127F when the outside air is only 100F.

And the seat can reach 123F. So, air-conditioned seats too, please.

PS. And the record temperature here is 122F. In the shade!
