Perhaps you should rename one of the threads to make it more identifiable as a MYGA Rate & discussion Thread. That way folks will know where to post updates. TIA

Why would they want to rename someone else's thread?
Stop hijacking other threads and create and name it yourself.

Why are you so hostile? If people knew that there was a dedicated thread for MYGAs on the forums similar to this one, they would not have bothered discussing them here in the first place.

That’s a thread OP privilege. If you want a dedicated thread on that topic why not start your own?

I keep getting notifications from Deposit Accounts as my banks keep dropping their CD rates. Fortunately I had loaded up late Dec early Jan. Otherwise I’m sticking with mostly T-bills for now.

Me too but I also keep an eye out for good deals at the credit unions since I don't want to keep everything at Fidelity so I may jump on these since I still have an account there. Big changes at Deposit Accounts as well, I'm not sure how long I will keep using them as a resource. Ken Tumin is more or less gone and it's a mess.

American Airlines Credit Union's 6 month 5.5% has been reduced to 5.4%.

Interesting, brokered CD's are holding and maybe even up "just a little" in the past few weeks. Although admittedly, I'm not tracking them as close as I was in the past.

Brokered CDs were really behind for a while which is why I bout bank CDs in Dec and Jan. Otherwise I am rolling over all my T-bills these days.

FWIW the online banks seem to offer their best special CD rates in Dec and early Jan. I guess they are trying to attract end of year new money. Some credit unions do this too.

Yeah, it's not like thread drift never happens around here. Someone is being a grump.

I only buy non callable and the majority I have pay monthly. I don't even consider callable's. I agree most pay semi annually or at maturity, but there's enough that pay on a monthly basis they can be found. If none are available at any given time, usually you can wait a few days and a few will pop up (and disappear quickly too). So be ready.

I saw a non-callable 2 year, Wells Fargo monthly payer at 5% over at Vanguard this morning. 46091MBK9.

A couple of 2-year, non-callable CDs at Schwab: BofA/ 06051XDH2/ semi-annual payer and Wells Fargo/ 949764NL4/ monthly payer.

I'm still scooping up longer 4-5 yr non-callable CD's @ 4.7&4.6% at Fidelity

Not sure how much longer the 4.5%+ 5 yr and 5% 2 YR Brokered CD's will be around.
Been sitting on a ton of $$ in non IRA / non Roth funds in a high yield cash MM.
But am thinking now might be the time to move back into CD's.
SWVXX has been great, hate getting out, just not sure how long the 5+% MM fun can last.
Anyone else feeling like they are pushing it? In high yield savings that fluctuate?

^^^^
Yep, I had one CD mature today (parked it in SWVXX) and another maturing early next week. I'll be buying new 2 to 3 yr brokered CD's with all that cash later next week. Seems to be a bunch of new issues available now but that may not hold much longer. SWVXX has been ticking slooooowly down the past few weeks/month. The end of 5% is near.:)

Well believe it or not I’ve ordered the callable JP Morgan CD 1yr at 5.35%. It’s callable after 6 months. I was hoping to buy a 52-week T-bill above 5.2% but it has dropped back under that over the past couple of weeks.

I bought one last year when they were offering a slightly higher rate 5.45% and amazingly it's survived 2 calls and matures next month.

I just got an email notifying me that the bank has reduced the interest rate on my $5.28 account to 4.1% I can get over 5% at Vanguard, Fidelity and Schwab on government MM funds. Perhaps I should send them an email telling them I will be lowering the amount in my account to $5.00. Maybe they will get the hint?

I don't think a loss of 28 cents will get their attention. :)

Just snagged that 2y 5% Wells Fargo CD at Schwab. It does feel like the end of 5% is just around the corner. ah...but how wide of a corner is it? ;)

I got that too. No 5% 5 yr in sight. Also slowly transitioning some of my Fidelity 5%+ MM into 2 to 3 yr CD's.
