The actor Ken Osmond who played Eddie Haskel in Leave It to Beaver passed away at age 76. No details of his passing are available at this time.

He was a TV star turned LAPD officer.

There was always a rumor amongst us teen adolescent boys growing up, that he had become a porn star. Turns out, sounds like he lived a nice life.

"That's a very becoming housedress you're wearing, Mrs. Cleaver. Wally and I were just telling Theodore about our plans for the day."

How many of us used "Eddie Haskell" as an adjective to describe someone? RIP Mr. Osmond.

"Wally, if your dumb brother tags along, I'm gonna - oh, good afternoon, Mrs. Cleaver. I was just telling Wallace how pleasant it would be for Theodore to accompany us to the movies."

I really enjoyed Leave It To Beaver when I was growing up. Yes, it was a bit corny but I enjoyed it regardless. Eddie always made my skin crawl! I grew up with a few peers that were Eddie Haskel-ish. I call them peers rather than friends because they were always on the edge of trouble-making, bullying, blame it on somebody else, etc. I caused plenty of trouble myself but always tried to avoid being an "Eddie" personality. Maybe in some ways that's more Eddie-ish than Eddie himself.

RIP Ken Osmond.

He was a great character on Beaver.

Read that later he became a police officer but quit after being shot a few times.

I think pretty much every Boomer used Eddie Haskel as an adjective growing up.

My brother still watches the reruns. A little before my time.

What boomers didn't watch Leave it to Beaver? Back in the early 1970's did a tour of Universal Studios in California. I always found it funny that the Cleaver's house was across the street from Herman Munster's house. That would have been a really wild mash-up if they combined the two street scenes.

Eddie Haskell's fictional character became an actual moniker.

Back in the day there were a few kids in our neighborhood that had conferred upon them the title of "Eddie Haskell" from adults who saw through their thinly veiled flattery.

Wow, at least he outlived Lumpy and Whitey.

That just leaves Beaver, Wally, Larry Mondello, and Tooey

Larry played Rusty, beavers friend. I do not recall Tooey.

Really? I am in my mid 40's so it was arguably "before my time" as well, but I sure watched it as a kid (and still every now and then if I am strolling through the TV guide).

I could never figure out why Wally hung out with Eddie. Wally seemed to have a "deer in headlights" look on his face every time Eddie said anything.

In real life, it was the Eddie Haskell's in our old neighborhood that managed to get their hands on otherwise illegal fireworks, girlie magazines along with an ability to produce the occasional bottle of beer. All of that stuff was catnip for most adolescent boys at the time.

Damn. I didn't realize until now that *I* was Eddie Haskell!!!

I am guilty of the illegal firework procurement, but relied on others for the Playboy mags, and as to drinking, I had a doctored ID at 16 for going to the bars:D.

Yeah, I remember - you lived on the next block over from us and just down the street from the middle school!
