Some things are worse than hurricanes - out for the morning whiz with the dog - went over to talk with a neighbor several camps over - on the patio reading the paper drinking coffee - all boats here moved out or trailered on high ground - and one neighbor gone to their 'regular house in lower St Bernard Parish - to protect and sandbag - nope - the wife took out of town vacation - heh, heh - hurricane? says I - nah - she needed a grand daughter break.
At the doughnut shop this morning - long time no see 55 and out - from the old plant shows up from Fort Walton/Panama City area - Ah ha - left for the hurricane says I - well that and I got sucked into children and in - laws getting their business going. Enough is enough - I'm not going back - after all I am retired.
Heh, heh, heh - it's the sneakies - that can derail a retirement.
BTY - the computer says we (New Orleans) dodged the bullet once again.
Computers are never wrong. ---- Right

But that wouldn't stop anyone here - provided you are fast enough to outrun the weather.
And we have a lot of barrier islands, passes and cuts to use to skilled advantage.
