Will 60 be the new 65 for Medicare?

OP, That would be Excellent. Would solve a lot of mine and DW's concerns. Even 62 would be good. I would take SS if this is passed.

All government programs cost tax payers! Government programs are not free.
 
Beware the Law of Unintended Consequences. It has yet to be revoked :).
 
All sounds great but eventually someone will pay dearly for the program. They will go after people with money and business. I don't want to give the gov any more money to pay for people that never worked and played all there life.
 
The legislation is proposed, not passed, and only about 4% of proposed legislation is ever passed. Our consensus is that the thread will only provoke an emotional response from our membership given the topic and the fact that this is a retirement forum. We will continue to stop discussions on proposals until they have a realistic chance of becoming law.
