Origin of your ER.org user name?

I run, and I am a man...yes a real man, not just someone who identifies as a man.

I am enjoying reading these...nice post!

Cheers!

My initials + Cal for California.

But it also can stand for Least Significant Bit in CALifornia.

Some clever choices here. I think you can get a moderator to change your username.

When I first joined the forum, I was still working but longing to retire with every fiber of my being. So, I chose the username "Want2Retire".

When I actually retired, I needed to change my username since "Want2Retire" no longer made any sense. But I couldn't think of a new one that wasn't already taken.

At the last minute, REWahoo suggested "W2R" since everybody was calling me that anyway (in threads, as an informal abbreviation). I liked the idea so that's what I selected.

Laura is my name and I tend to be a bit clumsy and drop things, so Hubby called me Lauradrops and it stuck:D

I love the mountains, nature, and hiking. But I live in the Dallas area. Go figure.

When I was a teenager I befriended a young lass and she once took me water-skiing behind the family boat. As I was in the water with the ski rope in my hand I noticed that "PB4USKI" was on the stern of the boat. I always thought it was clever. Since I also snow ski, it seemed appropriate.

I have been amused at how long it has taken some member to see the light on the meaning.

It took me years! :ROFLMAO:

Until you explained on the forum a few years ago, I thought it meant that you were from a Russian family, whose members were crazy about peanut butter. :D Seriously, I did! :2funny:

("Peanut Butter For Us", +"ki" because of being Russian?)

It is indeed a very clever usename!

Ally was my cat at the time, who passed away years ago. I used her name, because she was nearby when I was trying to think of a username.

I'm trying to convince myself that I can live a retirement with a sense of abundance. This is quite different than the frugal attitude of saving that I am used to.

a nearly 35-yr career in public safety comms the last 28+ at a regional 9-1-1 call center.

CC - I have worked most of my career in a Call Center.

Board - Board games are my number one hobby.

I use a different username on other message boards. I suppose I just wanted to be somewhat more disconnected here.

I am very detailed in most everything I do. That's all.

My first two initials are DR. In college, when sometimes the mail would come addressed that way, people accused me of pretending to be a doctor to get free stuff and I found it amusing.

I ride a Yamaha Royal Star Midnight Venture, and also go on camping trips for adventure. So that makes me a Venturer. Plus I am also in an online motorcycle club called The Venturers.

Yes, and it is spread very thin. Paint joke. :2funny:

I suspect paint made from latex from plants/reactor lines I designed and built are in almost everyone's home(s) here.
How awesome is that?? Much better than a superhero suit- maybe..
