What new series are you watching? *No Spoilers, Please*

Just started watching the current season (5) of Better Call Saul. If you didn't watch Breaking Bad and love it, BCS will not make sense to you - and even then the show is far from fast-paced. I've heard Season 5 is the best so far and the first episode indicates that might be true.

Ozark is amazing. Season 3 is just full of twists and turns. Must watch.

I had Starz to watch Dublin Murder Squad--meh--but before I ditched it yesterday I thought I'd try this Outlander series I had heard so much about now; my ancestry.com dna shows my Scottish roots and I fell in love with Scotland three years ago. Geez, what took me so long. So happy to have all of this series to escape to right now. DH is watching Man in the High Castle in another room....

Hunters on Prime. Chilling. Based on some truth. Then I started researching. OMG Operation Paperclip!
We really enjoyed the first episode, and were quite excited about watching the series.

But the second episode completely went off the rails. Totally stupid - so bad that we turned it off. Too bad.

I’ve been watching “Devs” on Hulu/FX (it’s billed as a “limited series”; each episode appears on Hulu after it airs on FX so I’m not quite sure how many episodes there are in total. At least six though.
Very odd show, but in a good way. A couple of times I thought the plot would go in a certain direction but it surprised me. It concerns the oddball CEO of a big Silicon Valley tech firm and a strange project he’s overseeing.

Little Fires Everywhere on Hulu. Based on the book. Reese Witherspoon and Joshua Jackson.

Trying to limit it to 2 episodes a day, 2 or 3 times per week. We may be able to stretch it through the end of the month. .

We are doing likewise.

DW and I:
Better Call Saul - Season 5
Just completed both seasons of Imposters
Catastrophe - Season 2
Will start Ozark S3 soon.

Me solo:
Man in the High Castle - Season 2
Schitt's Creek - Season 2

DW solo:
Million Little Things - whatever the current season is.

Just finished watching the first season of Pickard (Star Trek) on CBS all access. Loved it. The last episode of the season was one of the best last episodes I have seen since the last episode of Mash. Can't wait for the second season.

Finished 5 seasons of Line of Duty (UK) which AMC will start airing soon

Then watched both seasons of Prisoners of War on Hulu. That is the original show on which Showtime's Homeland is based. It's nothing like Homeland and is superior

Now watching Rake from Australia, about a Sydney criminal defense lawyer who has a drug and gambling habit So brilliant

My local library lets you check out 7-day subscriptions to Acorn TV, which streams Line of Duty, Rake and other foreign shows.

Binge watched Miracle Workers, not very good but somewhat entertaining.

Watch a Movie called "The Platform" B rated to kill social distancing time. It was surprising even though there were very few actors in it.

NOT for the squeamish or opinionated amongst us, we just somewhat it somewhat entertaining.

It is a futuristic Horror with lots of reasons for the faint of heart not to consider it. Be warned.

In Betweeners

In Betweeners on Netflix was hilarious coming of age British comedy. If you like fantasy, The King's Letter was also, easy and light. For something darker, I enjoyed Ozark's, but its definitely not a mood lifter!

It is tough for me to "binge" a series for more that 2 episodes in a day, and I avoid being in front of the TV for more than 2 hours at a stretch. So I am currently swapping among these series:

- Doc Martin (Season 9)
- Z Nation (Season 2)
- The Middle (Season 2)
- Peaky Blinders (Season 3)
- Containment (Season 1)
- Lost in Space (Season 2)
- Deadwood (Season 3)
- DCI Banks (Season 5)
- In Plain Sight (Season 1)
- Outer Limits (both the original and the 90s series)

Once I finish a few of these, I'll start on a few others.

I don't want to complain...but AHHHHHHHHHHHH.....there is TOO much to watch! We have really enjoyed the first couple seasons of Better Call Saul, but I didn't see the last couple seasons of Breaking Bad, so trying to catch up on that before getting back to BCS. Watched Tiger King...that's a regret of mine. Watched 1st season of Ozark and really liked it, so now have to get through seasons 2 and 3. Also like Schitt's Creek, but haven't watched that in about a year. At this rate, to see all the shows I would like to see, I will need to live to be 121 years old!!!!

Thanks so much for this tip! I investigated the streaming video options at several libraries where I have cards. One of them does have Acorn, but I also found a couple of other interesting things to look into. :)

Started Fauda last night b/c a critic gave it a good review, season 3 coming out soon. Rotten Tomatoes gave it 100% and popcorn 4.6% out of 5. It took until the 7th episode for us to get completely hooked.

But the second episode completely went off the rails. Totally stupid - so bad that we turned it off. Too bad.
Google "Operation Paperclip" won't seem so stupid. Although, the team Al Pacino has assembled seem goofy, hard to believe. Writers could have made it more believable and interesting.

@Rianne - If you liked Fauda, you'll probably also like Caliphate. Takes place in Sweden and Syria. Awesome.

Thanks, that'll be the next one. I'm so ignorant of the Palestinian-Jewish conflict. Getting educated on the reality and horror of it all.

Our Boys on HBO is good. It's based on real life events.

I didn't realize Israel had such a productive TV industry for such a small country.

Several of them have been adapted for American shows, In Treatment, Homeland.

Now ABC will be doing an adaptation of The Baker and the Beauty.

I'm interested in looking for a show which isn't overtly political though, something that shows more of the daily life.
