What new series are you watching? *No Spoilers, Please*

Been watching Condor, into the second season now.

First season hasn't been aired in the US but supposedly HBO has the rights so it may yet show up.

I watched Season 1 on Prime, but I'm in Canada. I thought it was VERY good.

I started watching Rust Valley Restorers on Netflix. It's based in British Columbia and profiles Mike Hall, who has a collection of over 400 cars (mostly junk) that he hopes to restore and turn a profit on. I grew up with a bunch of gearheads and even worked in an auto parts store in high school. Some of the most down to earth guys who would give you the shirts off their backs. I know a lot of the situations are scripted and the technical details of the restorations can be exaggerated, but I really enjoyed the colorful characters in the series and ended up watching all 3 seasons. Really enjoyed it going in with no expectations at all!

Just started watching "COBRA" on PBS. It is about the British government when all the power grids go offline and planes crash due to a major solar flair. I like it so far--it is fast paced so you have to pay attention, especially due to the English and Scottish accents (the Prime Minister is Scottish).

Watched the first episode of Next. A little too much SiFi for DW. I thought it has potential.

Watched the second episode last night. I noticed the FBI agent's husband has a 1968 Mustang. I figure that vehicle will become a plot point since it does not have any sort of electronic or computer controlled components. Back then even the ignition was completely mechanical with contact points and a distributor (no control module.) Therefore, it will operate and be drivable whereas all modern vehicles will be susceptible to control by the AI.

This show is starting to look a bit like a tech-horror story, if that were possible.

Anyone watching good Halloween series? I've heard The Haunting of Hill House is good. I'm in the mood for something scary but not too scary.

I had greatly enjoyed the first three seasons of Fargo, but number four is dragging. I seen reviews critical of Chris Rock, but find his character very well done.

I'm having a little trouble with Chris Rock as a tough guy, especially that voice.

Watched a couple episodes of Evil on Netflix. Pretty good so far, George is the star!

We’re 5 episodes into Schitt$ Creek on Netflix. Love me some Eugene Levy and Catherine O’Hara. Pretty funny so far.

Started in on Pen15 and The Capture.

Both very good.

For those who love sci-fi, I started watching Pandora on CW.

Love the different characters.

Way too many commercials. I really hate commercials.

I was delighted today when I signed into PBS Passport to see 4 series that look great;

Line Of Separation-Season 2(subtitles)
Cobra
Flesh and Blood
Van der Valk

we took out the first 2 seasons of above suspicion from the library. very good british murder mystery. kelly reily, the tough talking daughter from yellowstone is in it and we like her. only 2 hours or so per season so not long to watch each. getting season 3 soon.

I've enjoyed the first two episodes of "Flesh and Blood" on broadcast PBS. It keeps you wondering about what's going on and who's the unreliable narrator.

Have watched Van der Valk. Only 3 episodes. Good but I found it hard to follow. (Probably just me.)

I am enjoying Cobra--British government when solar flares knock off the grid. It is fast paced and the accents are a little hard to follow so I am using captions.
My favorite British series is Call the Midwife--set in London in the 1950-60s, a great show in its 9th season.

We just finished watching Season 1 of Fargo on FX (on demand). Not sure what to think, though it was somewhat unpredictable which is always appealing to me, and unlike most programs IMO. There are 3 more seasons, #4 in progress. Not sure if we’ll keep watching or not. Evidently each season is essentially independent of another.

I really enjoyed the show when I watched it on network tv last year. But they canceled it. Both DW and I are bummed.

"Travelers" on Netflix.

Scientists from the future have the ability to transfer the consciousness of people from that era backwards in time to people in the 21st century who are in their moment of death. Essentially, personalities from the future inhabit bodies in the present that otherwise would have died. The task of these "reborn" people are to carry out missions that will cumulatively undo the damage that led to the downfall of humanity. Basically, these travelers from the future will try to save the planet one step at a time.

Very intriguing premise which focuses on the people and personalities involved rather than gimmicky gadgets and high-tech stuff. For example, imagine if you were from the future and you assumed the life and identity of someone that was married. Your spouse is unknown to you yet you are expected to drop right into the routine of married life to a stranger. Or how about in the future you are a scientific wizard in your 70's and you are put into the body of a teenager?

I've seen four episodes and while I'm not hooked, I am very interested and will continue.

I have now seen through ep. 10 and this is an awesome series! Wow, what a mind bending concept. Can't get enough.

Brad Wright is the producer. He was one of the main people behind Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, and most of the Outer Limits reboot of the mid-90's.

Just finished watching the first of two seasons of Intelligence on Netflix, a Drama about the Canadian intelligence community and the people around it. It definitely held our attention but omg the central people (who really should be running things, not hands on) just drive around and have two sentence conversations with others at all hours of the day and night, from their respective cars. It would be a great drinking game if we drank. Bonus: two actors from Corner Gas (like Schitts Creek above, another series whose last episode was as good as its first) popped up in guest parts near the end.

I have watched the first season of Intelligence and and in the middle of the 2nd season. I have enjoyed it very much, I like the combination of dialog and action that occurs. The focus on the "behind-the-scenes" in both the intelligence and crime organizations, and how they intertwine keeps it interesting for me.

There are rumors that the series was cancelled due to pressure from the Canadian government.

Just finished Bloodline on Netflix. It's been a few years since it originally aired in 2015, and we really enjoyed most of it - kept us watching and wondering.

However the last few episodes were disappointing to us, but don't want to say any more for fear of spoiling.

Thank you for this! Bloodline is in my queue, and I appreciate you not ruining it. More than one post in this very long thread has ruined the ending of a show or series for me. I appreciate you saying the minimum in order to recommend the show without giving things away. :flowers:

I watched this series a few years back. I was disappointed in the ending too. Ben Mendolshon has had one heck of an acting career after Bloodline. I started seeing him so many major motion pictures and other series.

Not a problem! I frequently record live sporting events and hate it when someone tells me the score before I've had a chance to watch. :)

Mendelsohn was fantastic as the troubled oldest son Danny. I'll have to look him up to see what else he's done.
