Clinical trials?

If you were sick and wanted to try a new drug, I could see enrolling in a clinical trial. I think I would hesitate if I were healthy.

All the trials i've seen so far for this clinic require the volunteer to be healthy. Sometimes i've seen other clinics asking for people with specific aliments.

Aaron I would see if it affected my unemployment and if the pay is taxable. And base your decision on the net benefit of doing it.

FWIW I am enrolling in a study to take finasteride 5 mg daily to prevent prostate cancer, I am not getting paid. Earlier studies showed a 30% reduction in prostate cancer in high risk individuals on finasteride vs those who did not take the drug. Since my father and his brother both had it, I qualify as a high risk individual.

I figure it might help and my participation may advance the science to benefit others. And it might help me not go bald. Of course the potential side effects include growing "moobs" and ED.
