This game reminds me of the discussions on here about how much luck contributes to success.

Got it in 4 today, so I'm 4,4,3,3,5,4,6,4,4,4,3,4,4,5,4 so far.

It could have been 5, I had it down to two possible words, either one as likely as the other. I got lucky.

Been doing one archive a day, about the same scores. Haven't 'lost' on either yet, hope I didn't jinx it!

Yup, plus once someone figures out how to manipulate the boxes, you will see the solve at one guess.

Had three possible answers after guess #3, so I would have gotten the puzzle no matter what, just a question of how many guesses it took. I got lucky.

They did say it will “initially remain free” whatever that means.

Well logically the term "initially" indicates most likely not free later on.
